Sprechen Sie Deutsch?
Hi all, it’s me again! I’m back in action, this time in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Today I officially registered my residence in Germany with the local authorities and so the adventure officially begins.
Why, you ask, are you in Germany?!? At the end of the summer, Tim was offered a job here, as Product Analyst in the games industry. This was a good opportunity for him to move his career in the direction he wanted to go, and so we made the difficult decision to leave our normal, secure life in the Netherlands behind, in trade for crazy German Oktoberfests and hills and new beginnings.
Aschaffenburg is know for its castles, large parks, and nice city centre. We were lucky enough to find a very comfortable apartment in the city center. Tim’s put some pics of the apartment on his blog for you. As you can see, we got a lot done in the first week, but it’s those little things and those last boxes that will continue to plague us for a while!

Hi Cheryl!
Congrats on getting official residence in Germany! When do you transition to the job in deutschland officially?
