Ever Planned a Wedding?
If you have sufficient budget, planning a wedding is really fun. If you’d rather save your money for something practical like school or a car or you’re simply low on cash, I would say that planning a wedding is probably quite frustrating. Who knew that all those romantic fairy tales we heard as children about the princess marrying the prince were thought up by the companies who would milk all they could out of us when we ourselves wanted to marry in just that fashion?
Okay, talk about money aside, planning a wedding always has its fun sides. Yesterday I discovered the online market for wedding favors - you know, all those little things you can give to your guests at the end of the wedding. Little bubble jars in the shape of hearts are s0 cute! In comparison, the online market for wedding invitations is a let-down. The cheap ones are ugly, the expensive ones are over-the-top fancy, and there seems to be little market for simple, tastefully designed cards in the middle…
At the beginning of the week I reserved a florist. Since I’m marrying a Dutch guy, flowers (live ones, not fake ones) will to some extent be an important part of the ceremony. Too bad that neither Tim nor I can name a single flower sort we would like for the wedding… not our area of expertise! Tim actual comment was, Flowers? But what do you do with $xxx of flowers after the wedding?!?
Any of you ever planned a wedding? Share your experiences and advice ;)

I feel your pain. I’m trying to plan a wedding in (piqua?) from 4 hours away, while my parents live 8 hours away from Sidney.
We went to a bridal show in Dayton this past weekend and are going to another one in Dayton on Jan. 21 if possible.
I’ll share whatever resources I have with you!!!!!
