As requested... Apple Crisp (my grandma's recipe)

You need:
4 c. apples or 1 quart frozen apples
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/3 c. melted butter

Mix ingredients (minus the apples AND butter) until crumbly, put on top of apples in a greased 8x8 (or the closest thing you have) baking dish. Pour over top of crumbs the 1/3 c melted butter. Bake 350 degrees F until apples are done (about 45 to 60 minutes).

Mine is baking right now. =)

I like this recipe, but sometimes I like to substitute the oats mixture from the Rhubarb Crumble and top the apples with that. The only problem is that it can make the dish a little too sweet, since rhubarb is so much more tart than apples. When I perfect it, I'll send you that recipe as well.

Enjoy!

Yuck rhubarb...
How about pumpkin soup? Very easy and tastes great! You don't need any canned pumpkin for that, you just buy a fresh pumpkin (and then Tim can put the empty pumpkin on his head so that he has something to do as well)
And if it all fails you can still go for bratwurst. Mmmm bratwurst...

Apple crisp, super easy, I can send the recipe if you need it.
I doubt (although I really have no idea) if you guys can get rhubarb easily, but rhubarb crumble (or raspberry) is AWESOME. Pecan pie? All of these i have recipes for.

My personal favorite is rhubarb crumble. sooo good. Blueberry turnovers....any kind of berry cobbler....

Incidently, my first ever attempt at pumpkin pies are in the oven as I type. They are looking good so far. At least I managed to get them into the oven without spilling. It's a start.

Have fun shopping!

I despise pumpkin pie, so we will not be making it. I'm making cherry cobbler instead (I have an amazingly easy recipe that only calls for 4 ingredients-- 3 if you hate nuts). I can email you the recipe if you like.
